Trunino is a proud graduate of Detroit Public Schools where his love for music began.\nIt wasn’t until he attended the Detroit School of Arts where he began to pursue his career as a\nprofessional musician. Trunino now serves as a bandleader\, Sideman\, Composer\, and mentor.\nMentored by Detroit Trumpeters Kris Johnson\, Dwight Adams\, Rayse Biggs\, and John Douglas.\nHe’s a part of the jazz lineage of Detroit and strongly believes in continuing the Legacy. \nTrunino has performed with some of the finest musicians the world has to offer. He’s\nplayed with the likes of Marion Hayden\, Wendell Harrison\, Marcus Elliot\, Rodney Whitaker\,\nSean Dobbins\, Ralphe Armstrong\, Karriem Riggins\, Russell Hall\, Dee Dee Bridgewater\, Terri\nLynn Carrington\, Emmet Cohen\, Maurice Brown\, & others. DESCRIPTION:There will be two shows at 7:30pm & 9:30pm for this performance. \n(Seatings begin at 5pm & 8:45pm respectively) \n************************************************************************************************** \nGerard Gibbs\, leader and producer of Gerard Gibbs & ORGANized Crime\, conceived the idea to form this group in order to both commemorate the teachings of his mentor\, the late Richard “Groove” Holmes\, and to fully embrace his love for the Hammond B-3 organ and the electric keyboards. He has been playing keyboards and organ for 35 years\, and attributes his accomplishments and overall musical development to the late organist as well as his father and mother\, and the many local and national musicians who worked\nwith him along the way. Gibbs currently leads this band\, and tours nationally and internationally playing piano\, keyboards and organ for saxophonist James Carter.
