He is passionate about honoring the musicians who have come before him while adding his own style to create something fresh. \nA 2nd place winner in the 2020 Wilson Center International Guitar Competition\, Luke has had the opportunity to share the bandstand with incredible musicians such as Michael Dease\, Sachal Vasandani\, John Webber\, Sean Dobbins\, and Brandon Rose. DESCRIPTION:There will be two shows at 7:30pm & 9:30pm for this performance. \n(Seatings begin at 5pm & 8:45pm respectively) \n************************************************************************************************** \nGerard Gibbs\, leader and producer of Gerard Gibbs & ORGANized Crime\, conceived the idea to form this group in order to both commemorate the teachings of his mentor\, the late Richard “Groove” Holmes\, and to fully embrace his love for the Hammond B-3 organ and the electric keyboards. He has been playing keyboards and organ for 35 years\, and attributes his accomplishments and overall musical development to the late organist as well as his father and mother\, and the many local and national musicians who worked with him along the way. Gibbs currently leads this band\, and tours nationally and internationally playing piano\, keyboards and organ for saxophonist James Carter.

DESCRIPTION:Showtimes are at 7:30p & 9:30p for this performance. \n(Doors open at 5pm for dinner/Seating begins at 6:15p for the first show & 9:00p for the second show) \n*********************************************************************************************** \n2021 MPower Grant Recipient and  2021TedX speaker  Leslie DeShazor was named one of thirty Professional Movers and Shakers in the Performing Arts by Musical America in 2019.  Violist\, violinist\, composer and arranger Leslie DeShazor is in demand as a soloist\, teacher and recording artist.  Though classically trained\, Mrs. DeShazor is a talented and diverse musician.  As a soloist\, she has performed with the Toledo Symphony.  She is a freelance artists who performs and has performed with The Sphinx Symphony Orchestra\, Michigan Opera Theatre Orchestra\, Michigan Sinfonietta\, CutTime Simfonica\, Detroit Symphony Orchestra\, Flint Symphony\, The River Raisin Ragtime Revue and Ann Arbor Symphony as well as jazz ensembles\, Leigh Daniels Ensemble the Detroit-based\, Musique Noire and Straight Ahead.  \nShe has performed and recorded with international\, Grammy award winning R&B stars\, Stevie Wonder\, Smokey Robinson\, and Aretha Franklin and Grammy award winning gospel artists Fred Hammond\, Michael W. Smith and Donnie McClurkin.  She has also had the pleasure of performing with jazz greats such as Roy Hargrove\, Steve Wilson\, Pat Metheny\, Sheila Jordan\, Diane Schuur\, Regina Carter\, Xavier Davis and Marcus Belgrave. She has recently expanded her versatility musically playing both viola and violin as a part of award winning hit musicals Hamilton and Hello Dolly.  \nAn experienced instructor\, she currently teaches students of Detroit with instructional music programs offered through the Detroit Symphony Orchestra\,  the Sphinx Organization and her own private studio..  A native of Michigan\, Mrs. DeShazor holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan. \n

DESCRIPTION:Showtimes are at 7:30p & 9:30p for this performance. \n(Doors open at 5pm for dinner/Seating begins at 6:15p for the first show & 9:00p for the second show) \n*********************************************************************************************** \n2021 MPower Grant Recipient and  2021TedX speaker  Leslie DeShazor was named one of thirty Professional Movers and Shakers in the Performing Arts by Musical America in 2019.  Violist\, violinist\, composer and arranger Leslie DeShazor is in demand as a soloist\, teacher and recording artist.  Though classically trained\, Mrs. DeShazor is a talented and diverse musician.  As a soloist\, she has performed with the Toledo Symphony.  She is a freelance artists who performs and has performed with The Sphinx Symphony Orchestra\, Michigan Opera Theatre Orchestra\, Michigan Sinfonietta\, CutTime Simfonica\, Detroit Symphony Orchestra\, Flint Symphony\, The River Raisin Ragtime Revue and Ann Arbor Symphony as well as jazz ensembles\, Leigh Daniels Ensemble the Detroit-based\, Musique Noire and Straight Ahead.  \nShe has performed and recorded with international\, Grammy award winning R&B stars\, Stevie Wonder\, Smokey Robinson\, and Aretha Franklin and Grammy award winning gospel artists Fred Hammond\, Michael W. Smith and Donnie McClurkin.  She has also had the pleasure of performing with jazz greats such as Roy Hargrove\, Steve Wilson\, Pat Metheny\, Sheila Jordan\, Diane Schuur\, Regina Carter\, Xavier Davis and Marcus Belgrave. His ensemble was dubbed “an all-star outfit” by The New York Times.Lawrence has recorded five solo albums with\nPosi-Tone Records\, two albums with Ropeadope Records co-leading the Fresh Cut Orchestra\, received two Grammy Award nominations with pianist Orrin Evans’ Captain Black Big Band and Smoke Sessions Records\, and can be heard on albums by Boyz II Men\, Erykah Badu\, Jazmine Sullivan\, Laurin Talese\, Jonathan Michel\, Caleb Curtis\, Tarbaby\, Adam Baldych\, and Brian Marsella’s Imaginarium. \nLawrence holds a Bachelor degree from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia\, a Master degree from the Juilliard School in New York\, and studied with legendary pianist Barry Harris. In 2021\, Lawrence was named Director of Jazz Studies at Interlochen Center for the Arts where he now leads the Arts Academy and Summer Camp programs and conducts the Interlochen Jazz Orchestra. \nThe quintet’s third album Triptych is now available on Posi-Tone Records. \nA “preeminent voice among young composers” (Downbeat 2017)\, Lawrence has received awards from Chamber Music America\, the American Composers Forum\, the Pew Center for Arts and Heritage\, and the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia. \n​Lawrence also codirects the Fresh Cut Orchestra and is a member of pianist Orrin Evans’ GRAMMY nominated Captain Black Big Band.
