SUMMARY:ELEW
DESCRIPTION:There will be two separate seatings at 7:30pm & 9:30pm for this performance. Doors open at 5pm for dinner. Seating begins at 6pm for “Dinner & a Show”. The second show starts seating at 9pm.\nWith Detroit’s own Louis Jones on the drums and Noah Jackson on bass. \nA native of Camden\, New Jersey\, Eric Lewis began his musical studies at 2 years old and would ultimately receive the Rodger’s and Hammerstein full merit scholarship to the Manhattan School of Music. A Dean’s List student\, upon graduation\, he toured the world\, recorded and performed with Wynton Marsalis & the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra\, Elvin Jones\, Cassandra Wilson\, Roy Hargrove\, and John Hendricks among others. In 1999\, Eric won the Thelonious Monk International Piano Competition\, at the time\, the most coveted prize in all of Jazz. A decade into his career\, he reemerged as ELEW and began fusing his piano techniques with rock guitar-based ideas and experimental prepared piano methods\, generating a powerful crossover brand he coined “Rockjazz”. Over the course of multiple award winning\, critically acclaimed albums\, ELEW has re-imagined songs by The Killers\, Nirvana\, Coldplay and Michael Jackson to name a few. Throughout his career he has built an elite fanbase of some of the most distinguished leaders and celebrities such as Leonardo DiCaprio\, Gerard Butler\, Barack and Michele Obama\, Prince Albert II\, Will Smith\, Eli Roth\, Al Pacino and the list goes on… Inspired by the European masters of Baroque Counterpoint\, ELEW has innovated the technique of simultaneously executing two independent melodies which precisely detail harmonic forms bursting with idiomatic verisimilitude and wide ranging historical references while flawlessly maintaining the idiosyncratic Afrocentric timing at the core of Jazz improvisation. \nHe has named this technique Counterbop. His album Cubism – ELEW plays Rosenwinkel\, a solo piano exploration of contemporary jazz legend Kurt Rosenwinkel provides perspective an insight into the nature of what Counterbop is and how it may be implemented. In addition to piano performance\, appearing in and scoring for film\, ELEW is a prominent international DJ. He has has created disco infernos for multiple events such as The World Economic Forum\, TED\, Art Basel\, A-list Oscar parties\, the Monte-Carlo Gala\, the Cannes Film Festival and multiple celebrity birthdays and weddings. In some cases\, ELEW places the turntables within the piano\, seamlessly executing transitions and improvisations all while generating a pleasing frenzy on the dance floor. This has lead to him creating yet another brilliant innovation he calls Piano Turntablism . He literally plays two different yet recognizable songs simultaneously as a Dj would but on the Piano. All while maintaining the type of euphoric atmosphere one would experience at an over-the-top Las Vegas mega club or an epic music\nfestival. ELEW is a genuine master of the piano and artistic genius.

SUMMARY:Paul Cornish (Blue Note)
DESCRIPTION:Make a Reservation\nShowtimes are at 7:30pm and 9:30pm. Doors open at 5pm for dinner. Seating begins at 6pm for “Dinner & a Show”. The second show starts seating at 9pm.\nMake your Reservation today! \nEvery artist who records for Blue Note is part of a grand legacy\, now in its 86th year. But pianist Paul Cornish is a torchbearer for several remarkable Blue Note legacies\, all at once. Which makes You’re Exaggerating!\, his powerfully lyrical trio debut for the label\, a mission statement for Blue Note’s next generation. \n \nTo begin\, Cornish is part of a great heritage of jazz piano that has unfolded at the label\, from Blue Note’s first 78-rpm releases by Meade Lux Lewis and Albert Ammons through Bud Powell\, Thelonious Monk\, Horace Silver\, Herbie Hancock\, McCoy Tyner\, Andrew Hill\, Don Pullen\, Geri Allen\, Jacky Terrasson\, Gonzalo Rubalcaba\, Renee Rosnes\, Aaron Parks\, Gerald Clayton and beyond. \nThen\, he’s part of a lineage of Blue Note artists\, past and present\, who hail from Houston\, Texas\, and developed at the city’s Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts\, a.k.a. HSPVA. That more recent hall of fame includes Jason Moran\, Robert Glasper\, Walter Smith III\, Kendrick Scott\, Chris Dave and James Francies. Of course\, within that list there’s yet another bloodline\, of musicians who’ve come to define jazz pianism in the 21st century: Moran\, Glasper\, Francies and\, now\, Cornish\, who was born and raised in Houston and has been based in Los Angeles for over a decade.

SUMMARY:Kasan Belgrave and Session
DESCRIPTION:Make a Reservation\nShowtimes are at 7:30p & 9:30p for this performance. Doors open at 5pm for dinner. Seating begins at 6pm for “Dinner & a Show”. The second show starts seating at 9pm\nSaxophonist Kasan Belgrave is a ascending talent newly emerging in the role of a compositional leader. His energetic playing style and improvisational finesse derives from influences of early bebop and jazz\, as well flares of fusion and gospel. His musical prowess has more recently been shown through new innovative compositions. \nThe record “Dual Citizen” is an introductory reflection of Kasan’s own consciousness through experience of musical nurturing & professional practice from the Detroit jazz mentorship empire\, led by his father\, trumpeter Marcus Belgrave. It provides a glimpse of Kasan’s endless curiousness of sonic ingenuity. \nIn the formative years of his career\, that same mentorship was present in the musical institutions\, as he studied with Andrew Bishop\, Benny Green\, and Robert Hurst at the University of Michigan then held an assistantship under the direction of Diego Rivera and Rodney Whitaker at Michigan State University. \nKasan has toured as a multi-woodwind instrumentalist with Jazz @ Lincoln Center w/ Wynton Marsalis\, performed in multiple residencies curated by Terri Lynn Carrington\, performed with Karriem Riggins\, and Etienne Charles. The 27-year-old multi-woodwind instrumentalist has also made rounds performing in every corner of the Detroit music scene\, immersing himself in Latin\, R&B\, and techno. \nBelgrave is just one of many who was nurtured in the realm. The lineup for “Dual Citizen” might be the most outright product of that very circle of mentorship. Bassist Jonathan Muir-Cotton\, finishing his degree at MSU\, is currently rotating in Christian Sands Trio; Louis Jones aka “WavyLou”\, a gun-slinging drummer who has the likes of the Haynes’ and Roach’s\, recently hit with ELEW and Johnny O’Neal in Detroit; Brendon Davis\, a virtuosic voice on piano shortly studying with the great Chick Corea\, is established in composition and arranging of the gospel scene ; the enigmatic Allen Dennard has a trailblazing trumpet sound\, recently sharing stages with Dwele and Mike Phillips; and Michael Abbo\, the genial menace on both trombone and bass\, recently played with Johnny Oneal and Dafnis Prieto. The close fellowship of this group is a sentiment to the power of their sound as the Kasan Belgrave Sextet.

SUMMARY:Ashton Moore presents THE STANDARD — Dinner & A Show
DESCRIPTION:Make a Reservation\nShowtimes are at 7:30p & 9:30p for this performance. Doors open at 5pm for dinner. Seating begins at 6pm for “Dinner & a Show”. The second show starts seating at 9pm.\nBorn and raised on Detroit’s west side\, Ashton Nickolas Moore began his musical journey studying violin\, piano\, percussion and voice before continuing his education at Michigan State University\, where he earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in jazz studies. That foundation in Detroit music and jazz would eventually become the starting point for a career reaching far beyond his hometown. \nMoore has performed with celebrated musicians including Jon Hendricks\, Rodney Whitaker\, Wycliffe Gordon\, Cyrus Chestnut\, Christian McBride and Dianne Reeves\, and has recorded and performed with Japanese recording artist Ken Hirai. In 2005\, he appeared in two performances of Marvin Gaye’s What’s Going On Suite at Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola at Frederick P. Rose Hall in New York. In 2008\, Moore was selected to perform the national anthem during then-Senator Barack Obama’s presidential campaign stop in Lansing\, Michigan. \nLater that year\, Moore relocated to Japan\, beginning a chapter that would last more than a decade and profoundly expand his musical perspective. Working throughout the Tokyo area as a vocalist\, recording artist\, songwriter and vocal educator\, he performed at prominent venues and international festivals throughout Asia. His group\, The Ashton Moore Organization\, co-headlined Taiwan’s Taichung Jazz Festival before an audience reported at approximately 40\,000. His international work has also included appearances at Tokyo’s Blues Alley Japan\, Body & Soul\, and The Ritz-Carlton Tokyo\, as well as extensive work alongside veteran keyboardist and bandleader Philip Woo. \nMoore’s recorded work reflects the same range. His album The A.N.M. Music Factor was released in 2006\, followed by Downtown with The Ashton Moore Organization in 2015\, alongside additional recording and collaborative work. \nToday\, Moore brings those experiences back to where his story began: Detroit. \nHis current live production\, The Standard\, combines R&B\, soul\, jazz and contemporary music with storytelling\, humor and personal experiences collected through years of performing and traveling. Rather than simply presenting a collection of songs\, Moore uses the music to tell the story of where he has been\, the musicians and communities that shaped him\, and the standards—musical and otherwise—that he has carried home. \nAt its heart\, The Standard is a Detroit artist returning home with a lifetime of music to share.

SUMMARY:Fonville x Fribush
DESCRIPTION:Make a Reservation\nPerformances are at 5:30p & 7:30p. Doors open at 4pm for dinner. Seating begins at 5pm for “Dinner & a Show”. The second show starts seating at 7pm.\nPresale tickets available HERE \nFonville x Fribush is the brand new musical collaboration from acclaimed drummer Corey Fonville (Butcher Brown) and in-demand organist Sam Fribush. Like a hip-hop link up from the 90s\, the pair’s collective ear\, musical talents and friendship pushes the limits of the organ trio sound into a more youthful\, tasty style of blue collar jazz. The trio features a rotating cast of guitarists\, including Charlie Hunter\, Alan Good Parker and Morgan Burrs. Songs like “I Couldn’t Love You More” and “Blue Chips” immerse audiences in Atlantic Coast soundscapes of their hometown roots in North Carolina and Virginia.  \nCorey Fonville climbed the ranks among the East Coast’s most sought-after drummers and producers for hip-hop\, jazz and R&B in recent years. As a founding member of Butcher Brown\, he’s performed on NPR’s Tiny Desk and toured the world\, in addition to musical collaborations with ESPN and producing albums for artists like Ledesi\, DJ Jazzy Jeff and more.  \nSam Fribush is also one of the freshest young bandleaders and collaborators\, known for his signature aesthetic and voice – a vintage 1957 C3 Hammond Organ. “Our intention is to take this music into the future\,” Fribush says. “We’re trying to expand the rules about what organ trios can do.” \nListen to the debut Fonville x Fribush EP – ‘R&B Organ Trio’ featuring Charlie Hunter – out New Year’s Day\, January 1\, 2026. Fonville x Fribush will also drop their debut LP\, ‘What Day Is It’ featuring Alan Good Parker\, available exclusively on vinyl via WarHen Records.  \n \n
