William Hill III is a pianist, composer, and arranger from Detroit Michigan. He is a graduate of the Detroit School of Arts, and is currently a freshman at Manhattan School of Music undergoing his bachelor’s degree in jazz piano. Hill was a member of the Michigan State University Youth Spartan Jazz program along with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra’s Civic Youth Jazz Orchestra. Hill has participated in many summer extensive jazz camps such as Jazz House Kids 19’ 20’ & 21’, Jr. Jazz Academy at Lincoln Center 18’, Fordham Univeristy & Jazz at Lincoln Center Jazz workshop 19’ , Interlochen Center for the Arts 17’ & 18’, and many others. The awards that Hill is honored to receive are the National YoungArts Foundation Merit recipient for 2020, 2021, and 2022. NAACP gold medalist for the instrumental contemporary category. And the West Virginia University 1st place winner for jazz piano. Musical activities that Hill has had the pleasure of participating in are the Governor’s Inaugraul Ball for the state of Michigan, the Detroit International Jazz Festival, the Montclair Jazz Festival, and the Detroit Music Festival. Hill’s foremost goal in life as a musician is to make all people around the world happy with the music that he
produces.
