]]> New York Jazz violist Jim Nolét and Popular brazilian singer Marcia Lopes from São Paulo, Brazil, are on tour in the USA in August of 2017 in celebration of their August release; “Arco Voz 2” . Jim and Marcia’s group, Arco Voz will play the sounds of Fado of Portugal and Brazilian Jazz, Bossa Nova, and Samba in a setting that reflects the poetry and sounds the Orixás of Brazilian-African mythology. Marcia and Jim’s sound show a reverent for many acoustic music creators of Brazil including the compositions and poetry of Vinicius De Moraes and Dorival Cayimmi’s among others. Clearly one of the area’s finest vocalists, Sheila has been chosen as the “Outstanding Jazz Vocalist� by The Detroit Music Awards on seven occasions including 2001, 2002 and 2003. Her catalog of recorded work on her own SheLan Records has received extensive airplay in local, national and international markets.
