Aidan Cotner is a jazz guitarist from Ann Arbor, Michigan and has just recently finished his junior year in the Jazz Studies Program at Michigan State University’s College of Music, as run by Rodney Whitaker. Considered to be a torchbearer for traditional jazz guitar, Aidan tries to honor the old masters by playing solo performances as well as leading his own groups in order to fulfill these goals. As a leader and a sideman, he has performed with Russell Malone, Rufus Reid, Michael Philip Mossman, Harvey Mason, Ben Paterson, Kris Johnson, Andrew Speight, Etienne Charles, and others.
