CANJA de BOA is a dynamic, evolving project from guitarist Kyle Canjar. The collective blends MPB (Brazilian pop music), samba, bossa nova, afoxé, and maracatu with their own roots in American jazz. Their laid-back, fun, and summery vibe hits a high note for audiences of all ages and at a variety of venues—from prestigious jazz clubs to outdoor concerts. Core members Kyle Canjar (guitar), Pia Broden Williams (vocals), Michelle Ureña (woodwinds), and Gordon Krupsky (percussion) invite listeners to take a journey through a vibrant soundscape, celebrating the dialogue and connection between American and Brazilian musics.
