NBQ(no boundaries quartet) is a Detroit based free jazz project led by keyboardist and vocoder extraordinaire Haz Mat along with Sasha Kashperko on guitar, Grov Tigue on bass, and Jeff Canady on drums. The groups main focus is to explore the depths spontaneous creation and musical freedom through traditions of free jazz while infusing some of the most modern musical elements available today with brand new technology, synthesizers, and effects pedals all to create a new brand of free jazz that explores territories of deep house, neo-soul, techno, electronica, hip hop, and progressive rock.
