De’Sean Jones, is a world renowned Billboard Charting recording artist, 2x Grammy nominated and 3x Stellar Award winning arranger. Over the course of Jones’ 20+ year career, he has been afforded opportunities to write, produce, and tour the world extensively, collaborating with numerous music icons across a wide variety of genres. A protege of techno pioneer, “Mad” Mike Banks (Underground Resistance), and the late great trumpet legend, Marcus Belgrave, De’Sean Jones aspires to continue to uphold the legacy of progressing music forward while being an ambassador for the rich musical history of Detroit.
De’Sean’s current project, Urban Art Orchestra, focuses on a larger composition style that involves a 22 piece ensemble. His orchestra features live strings, harp, horns, a full rhythm section, percussion, and vocals. Urban Art Orchestra is a celebration of music from the colorful mind of composer De’Sean Jones.
