Rich in the traditions of his hometown, this Hammond organist is chalk-full of blue-eyed soul, relentless swing, deep fried funk and greazy blues. World renowned tenor saxophonist Rick Smith swings in from Germany with the bebop finesse of Dexter Gordon, while incomparable tapestries of percussive color are woven by Detroit’s own goovesmith extraordinaire, Djallo Djakate.
