The James Russell Project was created by jazz flutist James Russell, born and raised in Detroit. The group focuses on jazz, contemporary and soul while adding a modern feel to each style. Because of the versatility of genres, the group brings not only an older crowd who loves the classics, but a new younger crowd who wants to learn and enjoy the experience of jazz.
