The Rob Louis Trio is a group of talented young musicians centered around Detroit-native pianist and vocalist Rob Louis. The Trio has developed a unique style and sound tinged with modern rhythmic influences, and is known for performing vibrant jazz music, from traditional music out of the Great American Songbook, to jazz interpretations of classic Motown and pop standards. Bandleader Rob Louis has been mentored by Tad Weed and Scott Gwinnell. Presently, he is involved in several musical groups and has continued his involvement with the OU Jazz Band as directed by Sean Dobbins.
