Xavier Bonner is a saxophonist, composer, and arranger from Detroit, Michigan. Coming from a long lineage of successful Detroit musicians, Xavier joins today’s music scene as one of the “young lions” where many of today’s talented young musicians make their way.

“As a bandleader I want to build upon what has come before me and take the music further beyond my limits.” For Xavier it is important to “honor” the spirit of the music that was, and to propel music and artistry further. Some of his main influences as a musician include Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Wayne Shorter, Sonny Rollins, and Albert Ayler.

Featuring in this ensemble is some of Metro-Detroit’s finest young musicians.
