Doors open at 5pm for dinner. Seating begins at 6pm for “Dinner & a Show”. The second show starts seating at 9pm.

Ben is an active arranger and composer who has had works played by the U.S. Army Blues
(For The Messenger, comp. Ben Turner) and Philadelphia Ambassador Big Band featuring
guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel (Welcome Home, comp. Kurt Rosenwinkel, arr. Ben Turner).
Ben is on faculty at Interlochen Arts Academy as an adjunct instructor of jazz guitar and has
worked as a teaching assistant for Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Summer Jazz Academy and COTA
Camp Jazz.

Ben has led groups at the Summer Solstice Jazz Festival (East Lansing, MI) and the Pinelands
Jazz Festival (Medford, NJ) in addition to on the bandstand experience and mentorship from
elder musicians such as Mike Boone, Behn Gillece, Bill Goodwin, Matthew Parrish, and Byron
Landham. Since moving to Michigan, he has worked with important musicians such as Dwight
Adams, Sean Dobbins, Marcus Elliot, Paul Keller, Rick Roe, and Rodney Whitaker.
Ben has won awards from the BMI Foundation, Downbeat Magazine, and been selected for
prestigious programs such as Betty Carter’s Jazz Ahead and JAS Academy.
