Heshima has composed music for Nickelodeon, PBS, and independent film, and has released three projects as a leader: Round and Round (2011), The Awakening (2017), and The Healing Suite (2024). He has recorded and shared the stage with a wide spectrum of influential artists, including Patti Labelle, Hi-Five, La India, Paoli Mejias, William Cepeda, Shafat Khan, Arturo O’Farrill, Avery Sharpe, Fred Ho, Onaje Allan Gumbs, Salim Washington, Pape Diouf, Elage Diouf, Quest Love, Guru, and Farrah Boule and Tribal Hop.
