The Alex Levine Quartet was formed in Detroit, Michigan in 2010. Featuring some of the Midwest’s most engaging young musicians, Marcus Elliot, Ben Rolston, and Stephen Boegehold, the group has developed through intensive periods of touring and residencies/workshops, and has presented concerts in venues around the United States and Europe. Guitarist and bandleader Alex Levine relocated to New York City in 2012, but has continued to maintain a strong relationship with the Detroit music scene, and commitment to this project. Alex is a founding member of Polyfold, a collective of musical artists who have joined together to develop, and present creative works. Founded in Detroit, Polyfold produces concerts and recordings, hosts outreach events and educational workshops, and fosters creative community in Detroit and beyond. The Alex Levine Quartet released their debut album, Towards The Center, in Fall 2016.
